Modern Anti-Slavery Statement

This page addresses Lucid Holdings UK Limited’s obligation under the United Kingdom’s Modern Slavery Act of 2015. The following describes our commitment to mitigate modern slavery in our business and supply chain.

This statement was approved by Lucid’s Board of Directors on 30th June 2021.

Who is Lucid?

Lucid is a research technology company.  We are pioneering a technology solution that allows anyone, in any industry, to access real people for insight on global questions and make data-driven decisions inspired by their sentiments.  We use the power of data and technology to access these human answers throughout the globe.

Respect for human rights is part of this mission—it is a fundamental principle for Lucid.  We support our clients in their access to real people.  We help them integrate the data collected into their corporate strategies, communications, marketing, and general business development.  This ResTech space is truly unique, and we are committed to continue to grow.  But we recognize that this growth must be achieved with an inclusive, sustainable, ethical, and diverse supplier network on our Lucid Marketplace.  Our ecosystem has a profound impact on the world around us:  it fosters a greater understanding of one another, and we are committed to maintaining high standards in its development.  We recognize the important role our business can play in combatting exploitative labour practices in our supply chain.

What is Modern Slavery?

Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights.  It takes various forms, such as forced labor, compulsory labor, servitude, human trafficking, and slavery. All of these acts involve the deprivation of a person’s liberty, by another, for the purpose of exploiting them for personal or commercial gain.

It is the company’s stance that all human beings have the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favorable conditions of work, and to protections against unemployment.  Lucid does not tolerate any form of human rights abuse, modern slavery, forced labor, or human trafficking in any part of our business.  Our policy below sets forth how Lucid has already taken and will continue implementing safeguards to ensure that modern slavery is prohibited from our endeavours.

Lucid’s Policy

Lucid is committed to ensuring transparency in our own business and in our approach to tackling modern slavery in our supply chains. Lucid has adopted a Human Rights Policy which sets forth the tenets of our belief in the equality of all humans. This policy obligates all our employees, directors, officers, contractors, vendors, and customers to operate on the same principles of respecting all human lives.  It is communicated to all suppliers, contractors, and business partners who work with us, both at the conception of the business relationship and throughout its course.

Our expectation of buyers and suppliers is further set forth in the respective Terms that apply to either and in our Code of Conduct.  These terms include specific prohibitions against the use of child or forced labor, and they obligate all entities who contract on our platform to comply with applicable laws and all ethical standards available in our industry to protect the human rights of people.  We include specific steps a buyer and supplier must take on the Lucid MarketplaceÒ to ensure these obligations are met.  Lucid will not tolerate any customer or partner who violates these obligations.

Training

Lucid further provides training on our policies, and on the risk our business faces from supply chains which involve any form of modern slavery. This training is part of the onboarding process for all individuals who work at or for Lucid, as well as regular, annual trainings as necessary. We encourage employees at every level to take an active role in Lucid’s compliance with our legal and ethical obligations, and Lucid encourages employees to raise concerns about any issue with these obligations, including suspicions of modern slavery in any parts of our business or supply chain, at the earliest stage possible.

A Fair Future

We will continue to expand and extend the work we do with our employees, customers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure that any form of forced labor, servitude, or human trafficking is excluded from the ResTech space.
